DISCLAIMER – Please read before you buy

This disclaimer may be updated or changed at any time without notice.

ACCURACY – We have listed the vehicles on this site to the best of our ability and knowledge. Because the vehicles are not brand new, and in some cases could be 50 years, 70 years or even older, we cannot know everything about their history, nor can we guarantee anything about them.

We are not responsible for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies contained in information provided by third parties. The seller assumes no responsibility or liability for any typographical errors that may be found in our advertising.

NO WARRANTY – Old Town Automobile inspects each car thoroughly prior to sale. Yet, it is the responsibility of the buyer to either inspect the vehicle personally or via a 3rd party, to ensure satisfaction to the condition and value, prior to purchase.

All vehicles are sold AS IS is with no warranty expressed, written or implied.

The vehicles we sell are considered antiques. Please understand that they can break down or have any number of mechanical problems at anytime. When we sell a vehicle, we feel confident that the customer is getting a quality vehicle they will be able to drive without immediate problems. We do not dis-assemble each vehicle, however, and replace every part before sale, so we cannot know with 100% certainty the reliability of those parts or the vehicle as a whole.

Old Town Automobile assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle.

BE PREPARED – It is also the buyer’s responsibility to ensure they are capable of handling the vehicle. Some vehicles have high performance engines or lack modern features such as power steering. In addition, some early models may not fit large persons. Please understand what you are buying before making your purchase.

PRICES AND DOWNPAYMENTS/DEPOSITS – We do not charge any additional “fees”. If you are a resident of the State of Maryland, the state requires us to collect state sales tax and fees at the time of sale. Residents from any other state are responsible for paying any taxes or fees owed to their state on their own.

Old Town Automobile will be happy to take a deposit while you make arrangements to pay for a vehicle in full. This “deposit” is a down payment on the car and represents a commitment that you are buying the car. We will not HOLD a car without a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit/downpayment. Even then, we do not “hold” cars for more than a week, unless prior arrangements have been made with the dealership owner.

All deposits/down payments are NON-REFUNDABLE.

If you put money down on a car and tell us you want to purchase the vehicle, our staff spends time on paperwork, taking down advertising, removing the car from our website, and turning away other potential buyers. If you change your mind because you didn’t clear it with your spouse first or another reason that has occurred to you after the deposit, we sympathize but cannot refund your money. We would be happy, however, to count the amount toward the purchase of another car from Old Town if you make the purchase within 6 months.

If you put a deposit/down payment on a car, it is with the understanding that you will pay the remaining balance as soon as possible and within one week of the deposit/ down payment being made.

In the event that you do not pay the remaining balance within a week and you do not contact us to work out an arrangement, Old Town Auto has the right to sell the car to another buyer without refund. Old Town Auto will attempt to contact you before selling the car.

STORAGE – If you pay for the car but do not take posession of the car or arrange shipping within one week, you will incur storage fees.

SHIPPING – Prices DO NOT include any shipping costs. Old Town Automobile is not affiliated with any shipping, insurance or finance company. As a courtesy to our clients, we will work with whatever company you select and we can provide a recommendation on a shipping provider.

We are not, however, responsible for any services provided by any shipping company.

Once a vehicle is paid for, we are not responsible for its safe delivery. 99% of all vehicles arrive at their destination safe and sound with very few problems. Accidents, however, do happen and that is beyond our control. We recommend using a licensed and insured shipper and making sure that you secure your own insurance on the vehicle before it is shipped.

Shipping costs will be paid directly to the shipping company.

PHOTOGRAPHY – Old Town Automobile generally takes all photos and videos of vehicles outside. Because of variations in the amount of light, as well as variations in display monitors, the colors you see on your screen may not be a totally accurate reproduction of the actual product. We always welcome buyers to come and see the car in person.
